Hellas Brings Greek Flair to Sponge Docks

Between their famous bakery and flavorful menu options, Hellas could easily be identified as a culinary staple on the Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks.

Hellas, one of the many notable establishments located on the sponge docks, not only showcases the Greek culture through baked goods, but offers an array of delicacies ranging from seafood to salad and kabobs.

According to the Hellas menu online, their gyro is the "largest and best gyro in town."

Patch put some Hellas grub to the test recently, sampling the shrimp basket ($8.95) and Greek salad for two ($13.95). The basket of fried shrimp was complete with french fries and cocktail sauce while the Greek salad offered the traditional bed of lettuce over potato salad plus olives, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, Greek peppers and blocks of feta cheese.
