A look at the map for Tarpon Springs shows its lowest income level can be found in an area south of County Road 582, between South Pinellas Avenue and U.S. 19. The median household income in this part of town is $32,449 a year — well below the statewide middle class income range of $42,300 to $51,300.
By contrast, in the area west of South Pinellas Avenue, the median household income is $53,390 a year.
