Folklife Festival Coming to Sponge Docks

Folk  performers and artists from throughout Florida are converging on the Sponge Docks Oct. 6. The Gulf Coast Folklife Festival, presented by the City of Tarpon in honor of Florida’s Viva 500 anniversary celebration will feature musicians.

Artists will also be showing off their textiles, instruments, ritual arts and costumes and their process of making them.

Hispanic culture will take the spotlight, with the festival ending with a street dance led by Orquesta Infinidad of Tampa!

The festival is free to attend and lasts from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6.
