My Fox Tampa Bay recently featured Tarpon Springs' Hot Seat volunteer fundraiser as part of the news station's "What's Right with Tampa Bay" series.
Fox filmed local families who took part in last month's event at Craig Park, in which chairs are painted and then auctioned off to raise funds for a local youth in need.
This year's Hot Seat fundraiser benefited 11-year-old Cameron.
Coordinators from the Tarpon Springs Recreation Division and Chamber of Commerce, along with local artists and volunteers, have been helping out with Hot Seat for the past five years. About 500 chairs have been auctioned off, Fox reports.
"It's for a good cause, and gives us something fun to do and it gives us some time together," volunteer Jace Kole told the news station.
The chairs will be auctioned at the Artist Faire Gallery on Friday, Nov. 9. Call 727-942-5628 for more details.
