5 Free Things to Do in Tarpon Springs This Week

Having fun doesn't need to come at a high price. Especially for families, finding free things to do is key for everyone to enjoy activities together.

Here are five things to do in the Tarpon Springs area that do not cost a dime.

1.) TUESDAY: His Name is Bond, James Bond. If you haven't seen the latest James Bond film, "Skyfall," you can see it free Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Tarpon Springs Community Center. The movie stars Daniel Craig as 007, fighting the usual crew of international gangsters while on Her Majesty's Secret Service.

2.) TUESDAY: Learning to Coupon. Do you know how to make the most of those coupons that come in the Sunday paper or even online? Christi the Coupon Coach, author of Couponing Made Simple, will share her knowledge about everything coupon Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Tarpon Springs Public Library.

3.) WEDNESDAY: Guided Hike at Brooker Creek. Bring your binoculars, cameras and a good pair of shoes for a two-mile guided hike Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Brooker Creek Preserve. A natural resources agent will lead the hike, which will take place along both boardwalks and trails through the park. There's also a guided photography hike Saturday at 8:30 a.m.

4.) THURSDAY: Reverse Trade Show. If you're a business person interested in doing business with the city, don't miss the Reverse Trade Show Thursday at 3 p.m., at 401 South Walton Ave. City purchasers will be on hand to explain what the city is looking for on a regular basis. 5.) SATURDAY: Gulf Maritime Festival. Head down to the Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks Saturday, beginning at 11 a.m. for an all-day festival showcasing working waterfronts along the Gulf Coast. There will be demonstrations, music, food and more.
