Woman Dies in Tarpon Springs Motorcycle Accident

After motorcyclist Patrick Finney lost control of the bike he was driving, passenger Lisa Criswell was ejected and then run over by a passing vehicle before dying at the scene.

On Sunday at about 7:53 p.m., the Tarpon Springs Police Department responded to a motor crash near U.S. Alt. Hwy. 19 and Meres Blvd. where they found 49-year-old Lisa Criswell of Odessa lying dead in the southbound lane.

According to Cpl. Frank Ruggiero, Traffic Homicide Unit Supervisor for the Tarpon Springs Police Department, 50-year-old Patrick Finny of Odessa was driving a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he lost control and struck a curb. 

Criswell was a passenger on the bike and was ejected when the loss of control occurred.

A news release stated that a passing vehicle then ran over Criswell and she was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.

According to Captain Jeffrey Young of the Tarpon Springs Police Department, Finny suffered no injuries at the time of the report and did not need medical attention.
