Football Season Revs up with Tarpon vs. Clearwater
The Spongers kick-off against the Tornadoes tonight at 7:30 p.m.
The high school football season starts in earnest Aug. 30 when the Tarpon Springs Spongers meet up against the Clearwater High Tornadoes.
The two teams meet for their first match-up against each other this season at 7:30 p.m. at Clearwater High, 540 S Hercules Ave, Clearwater.
It’s early in the season, and the Tampa Bay Times is pondering if any Bay area teams can win a state championship. Last week, Tarpon won its exhibition match against Anclote High. Do you think it has what it takes to get to the state championships this year?
