Tarpon Springs High Aims to Raise $6,000 for Academics and Athletics

This weekend, the high school is partnering with Karl Flammer Ford for a fundraiser.

As part of Ford Motor Company's Drive One 4 UR School program, Karl Flammer Ford and Tarpon Springs High School are partnering to host an event on October 13.

Supporters of Tarpon High athletics and academics are invited to come out and test drive a Ford vehicle on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

The event will be held at 1411 Gulf Road in Tarpon Springs.

Along with Karl Flammer Ford, Ford Motor Company will donate $20 to Tarpon Springs High School for each test drive of an available Ford model, including but not limited to the Ford Explorer, Focus, C-Max, Fusion, Mustang or F-150.

Proceeds are to benefit the various athletic and academic programs at Tarpon Springs High School.

The goal is set at $6,000 so show some Sponger pride and get your drive on this weekend.

In order for the test drive donation to go through, participants must be 18 or older and have a valid driver’s license. There is a limit of one test-drive per household.

YES! Tarpon Springs needs the Sunday Market - and maybe even more healthy opportunities for us toRead More gather around, visit, share local talents and products. It is essential for the vibrancy of any community to have reasons to come together, but all the reasons mentioned should not be underestimated - supporting local growers and cottage industries has amazing unquantifiable value. Bring it back! During the summer months, when it might be too hot for our morning market, the evenings are a beautiful gathering time. The morning market could continue in an evening version.
