A seller is offering 'linen' vintage postcards that include two images from Tarpon Springs.

The amazing thing about eBay is that online shoppers never know from moment to moment what treasure may go on sale – and what bargains they may find. That seems to be the case Friday, April 5, on eBay, as some vintage "linen" postcards are advertised on the online auction site. Two of the three Florida images are from Tarpon Springs. One is titled "Interior View of New Greek Orthodox Church." The other is: "Epiphany Day Parade at Tarpon Springs Florida... the Venice of the South." The third postcard is a lovely image of some wading water birds, including the pink roseate spoonbill. You'll never guess what these postscards are selling for either. Check out these Tarpon Springs vintage photos on eBay. You'll never know what you'll find on …

A developer is purchasing a piece of land from St. Petersburg College's Tarpon Springs campus, where it intends to build one of the popular convenience stores from the Northeast.

Wawa, a popular Northeast-based convenience store and gas station, could be coming to Tarpon Springs. RKM Development Corp. of St. Petersburg has plans to build a Wawa at the site of an old gas station near the intersection of U.S. 19 and Klosterman Road, the Tampa Bay Times reports. The developer is buying a .9-acre piece of land from St. Petersburg College's Tarpon Springs Campus where the new Wawa's parking lot will go, according to the Times. There's no timetable for when the Tarpon Springs Wawa will be built, the Times reports.  Wawa has been expanding its presence in Florida, opening four locations in the Tampa Bay area in recent months — most recently a New Port Richey store last week.
